The entire setup is so stylishly seductive and luxuriously comfortable that it is tempting not to leave one's private compound. That would be a shame. Amanjena is minutes away from the medina of Marrakech, one of the few intact medieval cities in the world.
“It's not just authenticity and style that make Amanjena the best hotel in Marrakech; there is also its unashamed devotion to luxury. Each guest is cocooned within a magnificent circular space complete with domed ceiling and fireplace. The en suite bathroom alone is the size of a Paris apartment, and each maison opens onto a private courtyard furnished as an outdoor living area in Moroccan style, complete with fountain and minzah or gazebo”.
You should drag yourself away from Aman's hedonistic clutches and experience the intoxicating sights, smells and sounds of one of the most exotic cities on the planet.

Marrakech is a dream; but much as I love the city and its mad, medieval Medina, I prefer to stay in the Palmeraie – the vast and wild palm grove that stands between the city and the Atlas Mountains. The Palmeraie is beautiful and exotic, and it is quiet. This beauty and the quiet are amplified in a place like Jnane Tamsna – it is an oasis in the true sense.
The gardens surrounding the five villas are extensive with five pools spread throughout. Even better, the interiors are as inspiring as the gardens. Both are a result of the proprietors. He is an acclaimed botanist, she is a renowned decorator and designer. There is a restaurant, and it is frequented for breakfast, and in the winter it is augmented for dinner with blazing fireplace but meals are served in surprise places throughout the property.
It is not a hotel, it is a fabulous collection of villas set in the splendour of one of the most beautiful gardens on southern Morocco.

The views in every direction are inspiring, while inside the protective walls guests will discover beautiful gardens and an extensive and inviting complex of staircases and courtyards. There are 24 bedrooms and suites all individually designed using traditional Moroccan furnishings and antiques, with a hint of the contemporary.
In the beautifully tended gardens, find the seasonal pool bar and terrace for light lunches, from which a grand staircase leads down to the infinity-edge pool and a gym. Past the two tennis courts you will find the herb and vegetable garden, where some of the ingredients are incorporated into the restaurant menus. Local and International cuisine is served at the main restaurant Kanoun. Unwind by the indoor pool, in the sauna, or a treatment in the Asounfou Spa or with a traditional hammam.
Kasbah Tamadot is a stunning retreat set at the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, one hour from Marrakech.
