The Whole Story
There are a few institutions in Bali, and The Legian in Seminyak is certainly one of them. It was among the first ultra luxe hotels to open on the island, and it has always had the advantage of being right on the beach, next door to Ku De Ta, the most talked about nightclub in South East Asia.
The Legian has a horizon pool on the very edge of the sand, and the service and the food is exceptional even by Balinese standards. Over the past decade, Seminyak has changed beyond recognition. It has accumulated countless cutting-edge boutiques and lots of interesting fusion restaurants, all adding to the benefit and advantage of the visitor who has chosen Seminyak as their destination. All this has emboldened The Legian to embark on a campaign to keep up with the neighbourhood.
The villas at The Legian have re-established the style pecking order. Each villa, set in its own landscaped garden, has a swimming pool and outdoor living area, an indoor living room and a bathroom the size of a normal hotel room, as well as a separate kitchen for entertaining in your own poolside pavilion. The style is a cross between an Indonesian long room, a Thai timber house and a Japanese tea room. The villas have their own restaurant, built overlooking an enormous pool reserved just for villa guests.
The Rooms
Superior Rooms are within the main building with garden views, marble bathrooms with shower over the tub, king size bed or twin beds, satellite TV and music players.
Bungalows have the same facilities but have 2 or 3 interconnecting rooms. Garden bungalows are set at the rear of the property, Beach Bungalows close to the beach and pool and the Pool Bungalows have a private 7m x 2m pool as well as outdoor shower and private garden.
