The Whole Story
Thirty five sophisticated and polished acres of idyllic Caribbean beach frontage. With two white sand beaches and a postcard setting, the Viceroy Anguilla combines the natural beauty we all hope to find in the Caribbean with the flair of contemporary architecture and the rich textural layering that distinguishes Kelly Wearstler’s interior design. Perched on a bluff as if parked there by the ocean swell, the Viceroy Anguilla literally straddles both Barnes and Meads Bay. The strong horizontal lines of its modern architecture are flanked by two strips of fine, pale sand. Accommodation choices vary from elegant garden view rooms, to beach front villas with private pools. What all the rooms have in common is the distinctly tactile and toned down sophistication of Kelly Wearstler’s design signature; combining travertine, bleached teak, linen, rattan, bamboo and the odd piece of sculptural driftwood fashioned into exotic table lamps. The view is why people come to Caribbean. From the hotel’s linear spaces, you’re looking at turquoise blue waters, white sand beaches and the odd brightly painted fishing boat, punctuating the horizon.
