You absolutely must…
You absolutely must…guard the Emperor
Since the Terracotta Warriors were first discovered in 1974 they have become a ‘must see’ on any trip to China. Over 2000 life size, individually moulded, clay figurines line excavated rows creating an eerie and enchanting exhibition that you simply can’t miss.
You absolutely must…take your time
There is no better way to enjoy a couple of hours in Xian than carefully selecting a delicious blend of tea. Sit down with the proprietor of a small tea shop and watch the various rituals and processes that end with an afternoon cuppa.
You absolutely must…try the dumplings
Whether you’re in the fabulous restaurant at the Golden Flower or just popping into one of the local shops, an afternoon of dim sum and dumpling tasting is well recommended. Try dunking in a mix of soy sauce, garlic and chilli flakes for best results!
