The Whole Story
The first truly urban hotel to emerge in the new Dubai. Sixty three storeys high, the Address is the shiny flagship of The Address Hotels and Resorts branded group: a Dubai based company that is committed to redefining the notion of the luxury hotel experience. Their motto could very well be ‘more is never enough’. With seven bars and lounges, a comprehensive spa and a series of crescent shaped swimming pools that surround the property and seemingly spill into the Dubai fountain, the world ‘luxury’ just doesn’t seem adequate enough. Located in the heart of downtown Dubai, The Address is a pioneering, unappologetically urban approach to a Dubai business hotel. Situated directly opposite Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, next door to the world’s largest shopping mall, and adjacent to the famous Dubai fountain – a spectacle that makes anything in Las Vegas look amateurish. The Address celebrates the emergence of Dubai as a world city by surrounding itself with its most glamorous landmarks. Big, bold, dramatic and very urban, the Address is the type of hotel you would expect to find in the centre of one of the world’s newest and shiniest cities. The design is contemporary and sophisticated, the facilities are impressively overwhelming, and the location is as central as it gets. This is not a beach hotel that can accommodate the odd business guest, or a business hotel on the beach, it is a city hotel for people who want or need to be in the city.
The Rooms
There are 196 rooms including 25 suites that occupy between 7th-12th floor of the tower.
The look is best described as elegant contemporary – no frills, masculine blend, dark woods, geometric shapes and silk in muted shades, there is a hint of Arabian influence in the Mouchrbiya pattern of the carved bed head, but it is neither clichéd nor predictable. The overall style is one of timeless comfortable luxury, including flat screen TV, iPod docking stations and mini-bars. Spacious bathrooms are appointed in marble with double vanities, separate bath and shower.
