The Whole Story
This remote retreat on a small private island in the Andaman Sea has one of the most spectacular views in Asia. Thai resorts and beaches are renowned for their beauty, but this escape destination takes it to another level. Camouflaged by the island’s dense foliage, the beautifully rustic but thoroughly contemporary guest villas all benefit from a constant vista of a collection of limestone sentinels sticking out of the turquoise Andaman Sea with purposeful monumentality.
This spectacle continues throughout the property. From the bar, the restaurant, the beach etc, the view is consistent and unavoidably dominant.
Most of the public spaces, including the all-day diner, bar and hilltop yoga platform, take full advantage of this stupendous vista. The 56 villas have been built to blend in with the cleverly landscaped grounds. Each is allocated a butler who will organise anything you wish, no matter how whimsical (sandbank dining on your wedding anniversary?) and each has a private wine cabinet and an outdoor shower screened by bamboo. The spa offers a full spectrum of indulgent treatments, and for poolside cool-downs there are 60 varieties of home-made ice cream and sorbet to sample.
The Rooms
The resort has 54 generously proportioned, private pool villas, plus The Hilltop Reserve, and the Retreat; all represent an uncompromised standard of luxury. The attention to detail and focus on the reality of the destination reinforces Six Senses Yao Noi’s commitment to the environment. Each villa has its own infinity-edged pool with sundeck and is attended by a personal villa team who is trained to anticipate every whim.
