The Whole Story
Introducing discreet luxury and oriental harmony to a city that has never known either. A hotel collection built on gracious and sincere Asian service and refined Oriental values has launched itself in the glitzy world of Las Vegas.
It’s an unexpected but not illogical twist. Amidst the unrelenting bling and bravado of a town built on twenty-four hour gambling and entertainment, an oasis, a place of style and solitude, might be a welcome option.
The Mandarin Oriental is not small, it is a 47 storey luxury hotel with a sky lobby on the 23rd floor and the first US restaurant for the celebrated three Michelin star chef Pier Gagnaire. But there is no casino and the hotel is entirely without the wild eyed mania that afflicts a gambling groupie. This is a retreat – a place to recharge in sophisticated luxury before heading out once more into the twenty-four hour action that Vegas is known for.
The Mandarin Oriental is on the strip, and the strip, as anyone familiar with Vegas will tell you, is the heart of the city. The Las Vegas strip is featured in film, song, books, and television. It’s the perfect point for starting off your Vegas adventure whether that means poker or poking around in the desert.
The Rooms
Designed by the well known Adam D.Tihany, the 392 guest rooms and suites are sleek and contemporary with a subtle oriental twist. The style is refined and restrained, words not normally associated with Vegas.
The Standard Rooms sit just above the famed Strip on floors 4-6 & 9, Cityscape rooms are situated on floors 9-22 while stripview rooms sit on floors 9-22. Interiors work symbiotically with the innovative CityCenter exterior, matching state-of-the-art technology with subtle oriental touches. Guests can completely personalize the environment with everything on one central control: drapery, entertainment, lighting, and room temperature. The sleek bathrooms feature frosted glass panels allowing in natural light and are fitted with designer furnishings.
