• A setting straight out of an epic Chinese film with easy access to all of Hanoi’s attractions.
• The seductive blend of modernity with a charismatic, culturally resonant setting.
• All the facilities you would find in a city business hotel without the noise and the hubbub.
The Whole Story
Overlooking the 800-year-old Golden Lotus Pagoda, the Intercontinental Westlake Hanoi is one of the most sublimely located city hotels in all of Asia. Situated on the banks of Hò Tây Lake, Hanoi’s largest lake, the hotel is in a world of its own yet the historic centre of Hanoi is only a ten-minute taxi ride away.
The only hotel in Vietnam to be featured on Condé Nast Traveler’s Hot List for 2008, the Intercontinental Westlake Hanoi combines contemporary Vietnamese interiors with a deeply traditional and culturally resonant location.
Guest rooms are surprisingly modern: a showcase of Vietnamese contemporary design with signature rich textures and vibrant colours. All rooms have private balconies and all mod cons including LCD TVs. A state-of-the-art fitness centre is in a building of its own away from the hotel, and there is a spa which includes an extensive menu of treatments and a steam bath. There are three restaurants, Saigon introduces a fusion of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine, Café du Lac brings a French brasserie to the shores of Lake Hò Tây and Milan offers classic Italian food in a contemporary setting. Set on its own island in the lake, accessible only by torch lit bridge, the Sunset Bar is exactly what it says on the box; the perfect place for drinks at sunset.
The Rooms
Guest rooms are Vietnamese contemporary with all mod cons including LCD TVs and high speed internet access. To make the most of the lake views all have a large private balcony.
